Card share

Back again with another card to share.   The roof of the house, the post for the sign and the grass are the only thing I cut by hand.  The rest were paper pieced using several Stamps of Life stamp sets.  Thanks for stopping by today! :)

Base of house, chimney, hearts, sentiment - "sampler2love" set
Clouds, smoke from chimney - popcorn stamp from "popcorn2stamp" set
sun - circle from "phone4you" (phone dial turned backwards to get plain circle)
sun rays - "joy2christmas" (tree stump stamped around circle)

Stamps of Life

I have a confession to make:  I am pretty obsessed with stamps these days.  And I'm always on the lookout for cute, fun designs.   This one really caught my eye.

It's been cold here in Georgia, so today, I decided to spend my day in my pjs and play in my craft room. Don't you just love days like that? :)

This set is called "popcorn2stamp" and it's by a company called the "Stamps of Life". I wanted to use my stamps in a bit of a different way, so I tapped into what has always been my first love when it comes to scrapbooking - paper piecing.

Many parts of this card are layered.  The popcorn box was stamped and cut out twice in red.  Then I layered the two on top of one another using pop dots in between.  I then stamped the box in white, cut out the strips and added them onto the red stamped image.

The banner on the popcorn box is also layered as well as some of the popcorn kernels. I used my Wink of Stella pen to add glitter to the popcorn, and the sentiment.  Oh, and the hearts on the popcorn box?  My favorite EK Success punch with a little Glossy accents added for some shine and dimension.

Well, I guess that's it for now.  Have a great weekend!  See you again very soon! xo
