Card to share

Well, I went to a crop this weekend but I'm afraid I did more chatting than I did cropping.  :)  But, I did have a lot of fun and managed to get one card done and some other projects planned.

This card for the Summer Card Camp class that I am taking over at www.onlinecardclasses.com .  So far I am loving it.  All kinds of wonderful inspiration - both from the instructors as well as the other class participants.  It's so great when we can all learn from one another.

Okay, so here is my card.  I hope you like it. :)  I plan to do others based on other techniques we're being taught.  Hopefully this week I'll get the chance to create more.

The sentiment is by (of course - my favorite!) My Pink Stamper.  The blue background for the title is from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge (which I inked using Tim Holtz Distress ink called Peacock Feathers).

Thanks for stopping by!  xo

A quick hello!

Hi Everyone!

Wow, it has been a LONG time!  Did you guys think I'd fallen off the face of the earth? lol  It's been a busy summer so far.  Hubby and I went to Orlando for about a week in May and now we're getting ready for an upcoming trip to Canada to visit our families.  We can't wait to see everyone!

But in the meantime...I wanted to tell you about something I'm participating in because I thought some of you might enjoy it as well.  It's called Summer Card Camp 2.  It's an online class and so far, I'm learning SO much!!  And it's only Day 2! The projects, videos and instructors are awesome!  And there are other card classes there as well - many of them are self paced so it's great for those with a busy schedule.

I have to admit, part of me decided to take this class because I feel like I've been in a creative rut lately. Have you ever felt that way?  You want to create something, but find yourself just staring at your supplies?  Well, I've decided to do something about it...get that creative mojo back! :)

So, in keeping with that, I'll be sharing some of my cards that I make for the challenges.  I'm also planning on getting back into actually scrapbooking.  So, I'm sure I'll have some layouts to share as well.

Wish me luck!  And here is the link to the online card classes in case any of you might be interested. One of the instructors is Jennifer McGuire.  I'm just amazed by her talent and have been a huge fan of hers for quite some time.

I'll be back soon! :)
