My Pink Stamper Design Team Post

Hi Everyone!  Before I begin, I want to take a quick moment to say I hope you all had a very Happy Memorial Day.  But most of all, I want to say thank you to all the men, women and their families who sacrifice so much for us each and every day.  Our love and prayers are with you always!

Today is Design Team Post day with My Pink Stamper.  This month's challenge was to make any kind of project using two of the new My Pink Stamper Sets:  Girlie Doodles and Girlie Sayings.

And here is my card...in honor of all of those who have been touched by this terrible disease.

Stamp Storage

If any of you are looking for a great way to store your My Pink Stamper stamps, have I got a CUTE solution for you!  I found this adorable pink binder today at Staples.  And the best part?  On their website, it was on sale for 25% off .  But when I got to the store, it was labelled as $14.99.  The customer service person said if I could show her the price online, then she would match it.  Luckily, I had my trusty iPhone with me and she gave me the sale price.  I think it worked out to $10.87 plus tax.  I believe the sale ends tomorrow, but even for $14.99, these binders are nice!!  And they go all the way up to 3" in size!

They come in lots of other colors too.

Better Binder

Inside the binder, I use these to to hold my stamps.  I cut white cardstock into 5x7 pieces.  Next, adhere each stamp set to the cardstock and label each one.  Then, simply put each stamp set into a sleeve and voila! - a great new (and pretty!) storage solution! Now it's sooo much easier to find what I'm looking for.

**  I know some people use the Clip It Up to store their stamps.  And I do have one - but I found it was taking up too much table space.  So, I find this method works best for me.  And, it's portable for when I take my stamps to crops.

Hope you enjoyed this storage tip! :)

Blog Your Heart - May

I've never done anything like this before (mainly because I don't think my life is exciting enough that anyone would care to read about it. lol)  But, I've heard about "Blogging Your Heart" and I think it might be a positive thing.  Sometimes it's good to get your thoughts out.  And maybe we can all get to know one another a little bit more through it. :) So here goes:

1.  Today I spent a good portion of my afternoon cleaning the floors in our house,.  Can I just say that this is NOT a fun job?  Aside from the length of time it takes, there is always a delicate balance I need to find when reaching down to do these tasks.  Otherwise, I fall right out of my wheelchair.  And at 40 years old, it's certainly not as easy to get back up as it used to be! lol

2.  Speaking of falling...it's about that time of year again.  That would be SPIDER season.  Ugh.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I HATE them.  And here in Georgia, we have something called Wolf Spiders.  If you ask me, they look about the scary equivalent of a tarantula.  Last summer, I fell out of my chair while trying to kill one.  And you guessed it -  right beside it!  I'm talking eyeball to eyeball with the creepy crawlie.  I'm pretty sure he knew my intentions because he did NOT look happy!

So, this year I'm set.  I have a super duper big fly swatter on hand.  Hubby laughed when I bought this  industrial size swatter at our local Walmart.  I didn't care. This time I'm not taking any chances.  In case you would like one too, it's called a Super Swatter by Black Flag.  They advertise that they're  25% bigger than your regular fly swatters.  One can only hope because I have pretty bad aim sometimes. ;)

3.  We found out some sad news this month when we took our two dogs to the vet to have their teeth cleaned.  The routine blood work showed an abnormality in Muffin's liver count.  We still don't know the cause, but she's on medicine and we're hoping and praying for better news next month.  Muffin is a recue dog and has been such a blessing in our lives.  I cannot imagine what we would ever do without her and to be honest, the mere thought of it scares me.

4.  Despite the little obstacles we sometimes face, life is good.  And I'm constantly reminded that there is much to be thankful for!

That's it for now.  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Just sharing a couple of cards that were featured on the My Pink Stamper website today.  When you're done visiting here, please check out what my other design team friends have made.

For the first, simple strips of colored cardstock make for a fun summer-y look.

My Pink Stamper sets used:
Girlie Doodles (hat and purse) ,
Never Give Up (sentiment)
Around The Corner (flourishes in corners)

And for the second card, I again kept things simple by using a block style background. Then, a bit of ribbon was added to really accent the squares.  The adorable snowman is from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge (cut at 3").  I felt he needed a colorful hat, and even though he's a boy (LOL!),  the My Pink Stamper Girlie Doodles had the perfect one for him! :)

Girlie Doodles (top hat)
Never Give Up ( sentiment)

All stamps used for today's projects can be found here .  I have more fun things to share, but I can't show you QUITE yet.  But soon though!  I'm really excited about them and hope you will be too. :)

School Supply Caddy

I shared this on my blog awhile back but removed it for publication.  With the end of the school year approaching for many, I thought I would re-post it as it makes a great gift idea.  This school tool caddy was featured in the April issue of Cricut Magazine

Thanks for looking and have a great day!  I'll be back very soon with more projects! :)

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

If you are coming from my friend Carissa's blog "Sprinkled with Glitter", then you are in the right  place! :)

For this special My Pink Stamper blog hop, we decided "anything goes" as far as what kind of project we made or which My Pink Stamper stamps we used.

I don't know about you, but I CAN'T WAIT for summer to get here!  Every year, my husband and I try to find time to go to Panama City Beach for a few days.  There's something about the sound of the waves hitting the shore that is so relaxing.

The problem is, every time we go on vacation, I take lots of pictures but rarely do I write down what we did each day.  So, I decided to make a library pocket album  for our next trip.  It contains lots of tags inside so I can keep track of all our fun activities.

Create a Critter Cartridge - crab cut at 2 1/4"; sun cut at 2 1/4", whale cut at 2 1/2" (fit to length button turned on); sandcastle cut at 2 1/2 (fit to length button turned on).
Life's a Beach cartridge - lawn chair cut at 2 1/4"

And now....how about a GIVEAWAY?!  Robyn was kind enough to allow each of us to give away one stamp set of our choice.  I thought in honor of NSD, what set could be more appropriate than the My Pink Stamper Scrap-alicious set?

Just leave a comment for your chance to win.  The winner will have one week to contact me to claim their prize.

Your next stop on the hop is my friend Helen.  And in case you've missed anyone along the way, here is the entire list again:

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a nice weekend!

Handle with Care

I'm back after having a fun weekend in the mountains with some friends.  We went to a place called Grand Oak Retreat in Scottsboro, Alabama.  I highly recommend it.  The owner, Cindy,  is such a sweet lady and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome.  If you decide to go, be sure to ask about the cute t-shirts for sale as well as a cookbook.  It has some fantastic recipes in it!

And in other news... Robyn has a new My Pink Stamper release!  These are sooo cute!  And in case you haven't heard, all of the releases from now on, are going to be PINK!  How cool is that?!

Before I left, I had an opportunity to work with some of these a little.  And I have more ideas that I still want to do.   But for today, I will share one project I made.  It's already been posted on the My Pink Stamper website, but I wanted to give you the dimensions, in case you would like to make one as well. :)    One thing I love about all of Robyn's stamps is the versatility of them!
