My Pink Designer Post

Hello everyone!

For our March My Pink Designer Post, this was our challenge:

Spring is in the AIR!!!! Let's welcome Spring with the colors YELLOW, GREEN & BLUE. You may use other colors but must have Yellow, Green and Blue somewhere in the project. You must also have some type of Butterfly in your project.

We were also asked to use one or all of the following sets:  Buggy Punnies, Tweetie Hoo Puns, Happiest Moments or More Punny-licious.

And here is the layout I created for this month's challenge. I tried to make the pictures a bit bigger this time.  I *hope* it worked.  But just in case, I left the very last photo "clickable".  That way if you need to, you can increase the size.  You can let me know which method works better in seeing the details of everything. :)

For each flower in the corner of my page:  Using the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge, cut out the same flower in various sizes (starting at 2 1/2" and going down 1/4" each time).  Then, layer on top of one another. I used another cartridge for the centers of my flowers (to replicate what was in the patterned paper).

For the shutters, I used one dark piece of brown cardstock.  I then adhered three lighter brown strips on top (about 1/4" wide for each one). The "nails" were made using the My Pink Stamper Everyday Occasions set. Then, I went over each circle with a brown Bic Mark-It to make them a little less perfectly round (to give it a bit of a distressed feel).

And some of the sentiments:

(The flowers on my patterned paper did not have centers, so I stamped some using the circle from the My Pink Stamper Everyday Occasions set.)

And again, the final page...
