Hi Everyone! I hope you're enjoying hopping along with us tonight. If you are coming from my friend Roberta's blog, then you are in the right spot! If you just happen to be stopping by, then be sure to start here so you don't miss anyone! :)
For this month, we were given the following challenge:
Make something for yourself or that you would give someone to welcome the fresh clean start of a New Year! It can be a card, scrapbook page, gift or home decor item. Pretty much anything goes!
I don't know if it's because it's the start of a new year or the fact that 2011 seemed like such a rollercoaster ride. Or perhaps it's the fact that I'm quickly approaching the big 4-0. But, I decided that I needed a journal. So, I dusted off my Bind It All (which I have never used!) and decided to give it a go. My coils are a bit off, but I'm still very happy with it. I also made some dividers within my journal of things I feel are most important to me.
Front:
"My Journey" - My Pink Stamper "Font-abulous"
"Don't sweat the small stuff" - My Pink Stamper "Fabulous Phrases" (I need that reminder ALOT! LOL!)
Divider #1
In this section, I plan on recording at least one thing I'm grateful for each day (that is unique to that particular day).
"Thank You!" - My Pink Stamper "Spectacular Sayings"
Divider #2
I've heard the expression: "Those that never learn from their mistakes are destined to repeat them." This is my spot to write these life lesson's down...so I don't have to learn them the second time around. :)
"Wise Guy" - My Pink Stamper "School Days"
Owl - "Paisley" Cricut cartridge - cut at 3"
Divider #3
My FAVORITE section - Believe in Everyday Miracles - a spot to record answered prayers or perhaps those things that some might refer to as "coincidences". A tangible reminder to me that nothing in life happens by accident.
"Believe" - My Pink Stamper "Biggie Christmas Sentiments"
Rainbow - "Hello Kitty Greetings" Cartridge - cut at 2 1/2"
**Any of the My Pink Stamper stamps used in my journal can be found at these online retailers. **
Your next stop on the hop is my dear friend Maria. And once you're done hopping, please be sure to go back to My Pink Stamper and join in the challenge with us.
And just in case you might have missed anyone along the way, here is the entire list again. Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy the weekend! :)
