Love Bug Pages

Two posts in one day...can you believe it?!  LOL  I thought I'd also take a minute to share my latest class offering at our local scrapbook store.  I will be teaching this project on February 19th.  Hope you like it! :-)

Anyone like kits?

Usually I'm not a "kit" kind of scrapbooker (been there and done that many times in the past).  But this one caught my eye.  You do not have to sign up for any further commitment with this one.  It has just such a fun Valentine theme that I just couldn't pass it up.  It's a little more pricey than some kits, but it seems like you get alot for your money.

Please note that I am not affiliated in any way with this website.  I just thought it was adorable and wanted to pass along the info to you.  It seems there are only two kits left.  So, if you want it, you'd better not think long and hard about it. LOL

Here is little look-sie at the kit.  It's called "Truly Scrumptious" and has tons of product from some amazing companies we all know and love!

If you're interested, you can read more about it or purchase it here.  Happy shopping everyone! :-)

Disney Trip 2010

After posting my Mickey & Minnie pages, it occurred to me that I never did share my Disney trip photos with all of you.  So, I wanted to share a few of my favorites.

Twenty years ago, my friend Katie and I went on a grad trip to Orlando.  Katie had been back to Disney many times over the years, but last summer, we went back together.  I guess what they say is're never too old for Disney, because it was sooo much fun.  And visiting the characters was probably the best part for me (as you will see on my face). LOL

So here I all my silliness!  Katie didn't like having her picture taken (although she humoured me and got in several shots).  But because she is one of my dearest friends (and I'd like to keep it that way) I won't share the pictures with her in them.  ;-)

There was one thing I wanted to buy FOR SURE while I was there.  A pair of Minnie ears.  When I found some with lots of bling, I was in love!  But I had to try them on, just to be sure...

Handy Manny was quite the Don Juan.   I think he actually made me blush a few times.

Goofy decided to "strike a pose" so I decided to join in!

But after meeting all the characters, it was Donald that had my heart.  After all, who can resist a man in uniform....and with all that cuddly fur!!  When he asked for a kiss, I just couldn't resist!

Thanks for letting me take this stroll down memory lane with all of you.  I guess you might be seeing some more Disney layouts in the future.  I have lots to scrapbook!

Hope you're all having a great week!  Thanks so much for all the sweet comments you've been leaving.  I read each and every one and appreciate them so much!

Happy Birthday Robyn!

Today is a very special day -  for it's the birthay of a very special person!  I'm sure many of you know Robyn (owner of My Pink Stamper).  She is a true blessing not only to our Design Team, but also to many, many of her viewers.

Kassidy, one of our Design Team members, had the fantastic idea to make Robyn a project and post it on our blogs. So Robyn, although I'm not the best card maker (or photographer LOL), this comes from my heart to yours.  I hope you like it.  You'll be seeing it in your mailbox shortly. Wishing you the most wonderful birthday EVER! {SQUISH} :-)

Let it snow!

This year we've been getting alot more snow than is typical for Georgia. In fact, we just had our first white Christmas in years!! What a blessing that was!! So, I couldn't resist doing a cute snowman page. I whipped out my "Snow Friends" cartridge along with the My Pink Stamper Winter Punnies stamp set (since it fit my theme perfectly).!!

Here is what they look like:

Aside from the cute saying, what caught my eye were the adorable little snowflakes. I really wanted to highlight them in some way on my layout...but how? I know! A border! And so, that is what I did. I created a fun, colorful border all around my page...using only two snowflake stamps and repeating blocks of four different colors.
And here is a close up of Mr. Snowman and the "Let it snow!" sentiment (also from the Winter Punnies stamp set).

For this layout there is room for four photos. I created my photo mats to mimic a "window". And although you can't really see it in the picture, the "snow" on it is made of white glitter paper. So, it's VERY sparkly!!!

In case any of you might be interested, here is the link where you can find several online retailers that carry the Winter Punnies stamp set (along with many other ones that go perfectly with your Cricut cartridges).

My Pink Stamper Design Team Entry

A dear friend of mine convinced me to try out for the My Pink Stamper Design team. Truthfully, I thought about it the last time, but I couldn't seem to muster up enough courage to try out. (as anyone who knows me will attest...I'm my own worst critic! LOL). But this time with her encouragement, I decided to give it a try. There are lots of beautiful entries but only two available I'm just hoping and praying for the best! Working with Robyn would be a dream come true. But either way, I just hope she likes what I make.

I decided to go with a Valentine theme and make a fun little page for my hubby and I. Other than the title, all cuts were made using the Create a Critter cartridge. I made my own eyes for the two frogs as I wanted them to be nice and big. **And can I just say that anything that could go wrong when I was creating this did? Murphy's Law, I guess. When my layout was completed, I couldn't even find my camera. And where did I find it, you might ask? On my knee! Guess I must be a little nervous...I'm such a goof! ;o) **

Here is my submission:

A close up of the cute little frogs/toads (I used pop dots to give them a bit more dimension)...

And the details to the challenge... in case you'd like to try out too! :o)

Challenge: Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using Robyn's favorite colors......
