My Pink Designer Post

Can you believe it's almost time for Thanksgiving?  We have a 10 lb turkey in our fridge just waiting to be cooked.  I sure hope hubby has good insurance because I am not much of a cook! :)

Today is our Design Team Post for November.  This month our challenge was to make a unique fold card using our Cricut and any new My Pink Stamper release.  I chose to make a tri-fold card.  It was super fun to make - a little harder to figure out how it folded though.  If you would like to try one there are all kinds of great tutorials on youtube.

For my card, I used two of the latest My Pink Stamper sets:  "Itty Bitty-licious" and "More Fabulous Phrases" which can be purchased here.

Patterned paper by The Paper Studio  (Birthday Extravaganza collection)
Create a Critter cartridge - frogs cut at 2" (I cut a little heart punch in half to give each of them a tongue)
EK Success Paper Shaper punch - heart
Versafine Ink (Onyx Black)
Pop Dots

**For the patterned paper, I just measured each portion of my card and then went down a 1/4" each time for the additional mats.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please be sure to go back to My Pink Stamper to see what my other friends have created.  And we'd love to have you play along! :)

Pinkalicious Blog Hop

Hi Everybody and thank you so much for joining us for November's Pinkalicious Blog Hop!  If you're arriving here from my friend June's blog, then you are in the right spot! And in case you just happened to stop by today and would like to see what the entire design team has created, you can start here .

Our challenge was to make a scrapbook page or mini album using the Cricut and one of Robyn's new stamp sets.   I chose to use both the new My Pink Stamper Itty Bitty-licious and the More Fabulous Phrases sets.  Both can be purchased here
On to my project.  I hope you like it! :)

This picture is of me.  If I looked scared in this picture, it's because I probably was.  As a child, I was absolutely terrified of Santa!  My brother was too.

It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but I chalked around each of the Christmas lights.

And finally, the letter to Santa.  I thought it would make the layout more special if the child could sign his/her own name.  (haven't added one yet to this layout).

The phrase was a little long for my Cricut cut, so I inked half of the sentiment, stamped it.  Then stamped the other half.  Worked perfectly!
My Pink Stamper Christmas Wishes ("Dear Santa")
My Pink Stamper More Fabulous Phrases ("Thinking of you makes me smile.")
My Pink Stamper Itty Bitty-licious ("With Love")
Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge (tree cut at 5")
Calligraphy Collection Cricut cartridge (letter cut at 4 1/2")
Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge (lights cut at 1 1/2")
Martha Stewart Border Punch
Bic Mark Its
Pebbles, inc. Chalk
Versafine ink pad (Onyx Black)
EK Success Paper Shaper punch (heart)
Background paper by Adorn It -Carolee's Creations (from the Happy Holidays Collection - "Santa's Coat")
Pop Dots

Now head on over to my friend Helen's blog to see what prettiness she has created!  And please, if you can find the time, we'd love it if you would go back to the beginning and play along with us!  Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Club Scrap & My Pink Stamper Layout

Hi Everyone!

I've been working hard on some new projects and today, I'd like to share one of them with you.  This layout features October's Club Scrap kit (along with some of my favorite My Pink Stamper stamps).  This was a layout idea they had for this particular kit.  I just added some additional elements  to customize it a bit.  :)

Because my husband and I do not have children, I had to be a little creative with this layout.  I wanted it to feature all members of our family...even our furry ones.

The "Families are Forever" sentiment is from the My Pink Stamper "Everyday Life" set.

The sunflowers are from the Accent Essentials cartridge.  I cut them at 1 1/2".

The house is a paper piecing that I created myself.
The small dots on the roof were created using a stencil (which came with my kit).

Each photo mat is labeled using a 1 1/2" heart (punch).  I stamped the words "father", "mother", "brother" and "sister" - all from the My Pink Stamper "Family & Friends" stamp set.  The paw print is from My Pink Stamper "Biggie Punnies".

When outlining with my Zig Writer, I made the left side a bit darker to give the illusion of this being a bit more dimensional (like a candy heart would be).

Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge - sunflowers @ 1 1/2"
Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Walnut Stain)
Zig Writers (black & brown)
Creative Memories 1 1/2" heart punch
EK Success small heart punch
Versafine Ink (for sentiments) - Onyx Black
Pop Dots (for sunflowers)

**All papers are from the October Club Scrap kit (with the exception of the yellow and red- those were from my stash). **

Thanks for stopping by! :)
