Class act

When I saw this cute sentiment on the My Pink Stamper School Days set, the first thing I thought of was a "class clown".  Why did I think of that?  Well, it's mainly because of a boy I knew when I was in elementary school.

At the risk of embarassing myself, I'll tell you about the circumstances of how we met.  I'm sure any of you teachers reading this will find it almost inspirational.  When I was in grade 5, I had this habit of not wanting to do my reading homework for my teacher. And on almost a daily basis, she would threaten to send me to the principal's office.  (I was a very respectful child...I just hated homework.)  Anyway, by the end of the year, my teacher had still not followed through on her threats and I had yet to see the inside of the principal's office.  But come that following September, I found out she had exacted her sweet revenge.  For it was then, I learned that she had recommended I be put in the "low" reading group.  And for the next ten months, I was forced to sit beside a lovely boy whose favorite pastime was turning his eyelids inside out.  Ewww!  Still makes me cringe to this day.  Lesson definitely learned the hard way!!! LOL

So, in recognition of that traumatic moment from my childhood, here is my card. ;)  I hope you like it.
