My Pink Stamper Pinkalicious Blog Hop

Hi Everyone and welcome to the My Pink Stamper Pinkalicious Blog Hop for April! And another wonderful thing...it's Friday!! :-)

Our challenge for this month was to make a project with a birthday theme.  For this challenge, I chose to work with the My Pink Stamper "Boy Crazy" set.

I've probably said this before, but I looooove this set.  And I'm talking big puffy heart kind of love!! :-) And even though my husband and I do not have children, I think it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. There is also one sentiment from the "Everyday Sentiments" set used for the middle of page two.  Both of these (and more!) can be purchased at any of the online retailers here

Okay, on with today's layout. I really wanted to call attention to the adorable sentiments on the stamp set, so I chose a color palette that was a little different than what you'd normally expect for birthday pages.

After finishing my layout, there was one thing that kept bugging me about it, but I couldn't quite figure out what it was.  After gazing at it for hours, it finally it hit me...my little boy wasn't dressed!  The cartridge cuts him out as a silhouette, but I decided to give him some "clothes".  (Sometimes it really is all in the details!).  And I was going to give him a party hat, but I didn't want to cover up his cute spikey hair. LOL

So, here it is.  Not the best pictures...but hopefully you get the idea.  It's been overcast here and as you probably know by now, I'm not much of a photographer. :-)

The whole layout (click on pictures to enlarge)...

And some close-ups of the "embellishments" with their cute stamped sentiments...

Page 2 elements...

From the My Pink Stamper "Everyday Sentiments" stamps (these are HUGE...perfect for scrapbook pages as well as the inside of cards!)

And my personal favorite....the cutest dinosaur EVER!!

There was a vote in our house last night on what colored pants/shorts this boy needed.  I wanted the burgundy, but hubby felt he'd look best in yellow.  Hubby won...this time. ;o)

Hi Shelley!
Your layout is adorable and it was a good decision NOT to cover up that little guys locks! I, too, love the MPS Boy Crazy & Everyday Sentiments sets. Have them both on my wish list...maybe Easter or Mother's Day!
