Got the blues?

Happy Thursday everyone!

Today was a great mail day.  I received some of Robyn's newest stamps and couldn't wait to start playing!  And can I just say that they are the caaaa-utest?!!  There was one sentiment that sparked an idea as soon as I saw it,  and allowed me to "think outside the box" a little.  It's from the "Music Speaks" set.

As a child, I spent alot of time in and out of hospitals, so I couldn't help but think this would be so adorable to send to a boy or a girl...or perhaps even a Cookie Monster lover (like myself!).  After all, how can anyone NOT love that blue fur?? :-)

Here is my super simple card.  I hope you like it.

And the inside...

RECIPE

I cut Cookie Monster at 3 1/4 inches using the Sesame Street Font Cricut cartridge. (He's also popped up to give it more dimension.)  The sentiment for the outside of my card was made using the My Pink Stamper's "Music Speaks" set, and the inside sentiment was made using her "Everyday Sentiments" set. (these stamps are huge and work perfectly for the inside of cards!).  Both stamp sets are available for purchase here.

Paper is by Daisy Bucket's "All Wound Up -Jacob's Cords". And the stars inside the card were made using a small EK Success Paper Shaper punch.

Have a wonderful weekend!  I'll be cropping tomorrow night so I'll be working on some more new projects.  Oh, and I have one more thing to share with you on Saturday!  Hope you'll come by for another visit then. :-)
