Birthday Card

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using another one of the new My Pink Stamper stamp sets called "Spanish Sayings".  Here is a look at the entire set:

You can order this or any of Robyn's other great products here.  (There are nine other stamp sets to choose from just from the latest release!!) .

So, on with today's project!  I decided to pull out one of my favorite "older" Cricut cartridges:  Doodlecharms.  If you don't have this particular cartridge, you really should check it out.  It contains all kinds of images that you will use throughout the year: birthdays, animals, holidays, seasons.

The party hat was cut at 3 1/2 inches. I ran the diecut through my Cuttlebug using a swirl folder.  I added some ink to the hat using Tim Holtz's Distress ink called Spiced Marmalde.  Then, I added some Stickles (Orange Peel) to the swirls.

Little circles were adhered to the bottom to replicate one of the hats in the patterned paper.  And I cut off the top of the hat and added a circle there as well.  This would also be super cute with some colorful little pom poms (that you can buy in the craft section of Michaels).  Unfortunately, I didn't have any in my stash, so I used a 3/4" circle punch instead.

Recipe

My Pink Stamper "Spanish Sayings"
Cricut Doodlecharms
Versafine Ink Pad in Onyx Black (another favorite of mine!)
Stickles
Cuttlebug & swirl folder
Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Spiced Marmalade)
Stickles (Orange Peel)
Patterned Paper by The Paper Studio ("Birthday Extravaganza" stack)

Thanks for stopping by!
