One more thing...

Two posts in one day...can you believe it? lol

Are you wondering yet why I posted a calendar gift idea as the last project for our Christmas in July celebration? Let me give you a hint:

What do both of these projects have in common?

Answer: Both of them use the fantastic "Drippy Goo" punch by Martha Stewart!!!

And the best part? I have one to give away!!

Remember awhile back when I said I had picked up a fun prize for you? Well this is it!! I'm so excited because this is a punch I dearly love and use often in my scrapbooking! It's so versatile! I hope you will like it as much as I do.

For a chance to win, simply leave a comment below this post. Deadline is 6 p.m. on August 20th. In order to qualify, you MUST leave your email address in your comment (please no blog addresses!). The winner will be chosen through and will have one week to get back to me with their mailing address. Thanks everyone!

Good luck!

Gift idea

I had hoped to get a few more cards completed for our Christmas in July celebration, but now August is here! Can you believe it? August already!! The summer is almost over!

Things here have been pretty busy, so I decided to share with you something I've done in the past...a calendar on a banana tree. What a fantastic gift for someone! This idea was from a class I took at our local scrapbook store "The Scrapbook Shoppe". If you'd like to take a look at the class sample, here is the link:

You will need to scroll down to the Nov. 10/08 post. Great store with the sweetest owner. In case you're wondering...yes...this is also where I teach classes. (some of you have asked). :-)

Here is the calendar I made as a gift. It uses a variety of different Cricut Cartridges. The paper was cut out using a die at our LSS. But you could use a cartridge for the scalloped square.

Cartridge used: Joys of the Season for snowflake.

No cartridges used here. Hearts are a punch.

Cartridge used: Designer's Calendar for four leaf clover.

Cartridge: Doodlecharms for both basket and eggs.

May:For the flowers: 2 scallop circles, 2 regular circles for centers, and two green hearts for leaves.

Doodlecharms cartridge for the ice cream. Martha Stewart "Drippy Goo" punch for the border on the photo mat.

July:Stars are from George & Basic Shapes cartridge.

August (my favorite because it's so bright and cheery!):

Umbrella: Paper Dolls For Everyday

Apple: Doodlecharms cartridge

Owl: Paisley Cartridge

Pumpkin: George & Basic Shapes cartridge (five ovals, stem cut by hand).

Tree: George & Basic Shapes cartridge (three triangles).
