Wednesday, May 12, 2010 July?!

I've been doing a bit of brainstorming today and wanted to see what you all thought of this idea...

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. But, with all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, there never seems like enough time to prepare. I don't know about all of you, but every year I have good intentions. I plan on making homemade Christmas cards, but before I know it, there is not enough time to finish them and mail them out.

Sooo....this year I thought it would be fun to help in the form of some early holiday inspiration! What would you think of a "Christmas in July" celebration right here on the blog? Some of the projects would include both scrapbook pages and card ideas. And the best part? YOU can be a part of the fun!

What I'd like to do is get some submissions from you talented friends! If your project is chosen to be featured here, you would email me some pictures of your project along with the directions for completing it. And as a thank you for doing this, below your featured project, I would list your blog address so that others can see more of your work! Please note: These links will only be for your personal blogs, not where your work may be sold.

Your project can be anything Christmas related. The only requirement is you MUST use your Cricut in some way. Feel free to be creative...decorations for the tree; a favorite holiday recipe (scrapbooked of course)...the only limit is your imagination! Let's get into the spirit of the season by sharing among the new friends we have here!

I'm going to post a poll on the side of the page to see if this is something you all might like. I'd appreciate your feedback! :o)

Have a super day everyone!

Oooh...the first comment giver! :)

I think a "Christmas in July" idea is great! The one goal I have for this year is to get Christmas cards made in time to send out. (Usually I am lucky to get the store bought ones out in time --- I usually hand them to church friends at the Christmas Eve service and family gets them Christmas day! lol)

Rosy, you don't need to have a blog to participate. Since you'll be emailing me the info, you can even just send me the pictures as attachments (from your own computer).

I'm so happy that you both like this idea! :o)
